The Optical Shop
The Optical Shop has been a fixture in downtown Silver Spring for over 20 years. During that time, optician Debra Collins Brown has been the driving force behind its success.
With over 40 years of experience, Debra is uniquely qualified to fill complex or challenging eyeglass prescriptions. A Buffalo native, Debra was required to attend school, take board exams and be licensed, requirements that do not exist in Maryland.
Debra is skilled at helping clients select flattering eyeglass frames and is expert in the fitting of all lenses, especially progressive lenses.
Located at 8630 Fenton Street in downtown Silver Spring, The Optical Shop is a division of the medical practice of Drs. Harold Rodman and Joel Engelstein. These experienced ophthalmologists have been in practice together for over 30 years and are a Silver Spring institution.
Although The Optical Shop is part of their practice, we are happy to fill prescriptions from any eye doctor.
